Since wedding season 2023, we also have a Belgium Team of fantastic female string quartet players.
You can choose everything from classical to contemporary, including the superb music from Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Beyoncé, Jason Mraz, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars to name but a few! We play all over The Netherlands and Belgium.
We are a team of professional musicians and most experienced in providing acoustic live music for weddings. Our first wedding probably was in 2006! We ensure the perfect timing of the processional, your entrance and are happy to help you choose the right pieces for the most important moments. We customise tempo and offer two new requests for your ceremony if we do not have it in our playlist already.

Professional partner
With The Belgian String Quartet, you choose a friendly and professional partner for your wedding, and we are happy to work with you on any special requests. Our first wedding dates from 2006 so your big day is in good hands with us!
A string quartet consists a first violinist, second violinist, viola player and cellist. Since we are a team of musicians we never had to cancel a booking during Covid or illness or so ever. This is a strong feature for we play at weddings since 2006! Many of the girls play violin AND viola, how about that? They have steady or casual jobs in the best Dutch and Belgium orchestras.
String quartet playing is teamwork. Because my colleagues also have orchestral shifts, there are permanent substitutes for all the players. All the ladies are great musicians and chamber music players. So, a booking will always take place, even in case of illness.
Expansion to a larger ensemble is possible via the Scarlett String Society
Many couples choose to have our string quartet perform during the ceremony, the welcome reception and the reception.
For the reception, it is possible to expand the line-up with additional musicians, such as a pianist and a rhythm section. This creates a fuller, more rhythmic sound — perfect for a more informal setting.
We provide this additional line-up through the Scarlett String Society.

Would you like to request a quote? Click the button below to fill in your details.
Booking
You’d like to book us; brilliant! After a brief introductory phone call, we’ll arrange a Zoom meeting with you to discuss your requirements. This will take place online, and one of our string quartet members will go through everything with you.
Down payment
To confirm your booking, you will also receive a contract and a request for a deposit. Once the contract and deposit have been received, your booking is confirmed.
In the run-up to the event
We’ll keep in touch regarding your choice of music, performance times and practical tips to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll receive the final invoice two weeks before the event.

The day has finally arrived: The Belgian String Quartet are coming to perform for you!
I am Scarlett Arts, the cellist of The Belgian String Quartet and your contact person until our last note on your big day. With over 500 ceremonies experience, I have great advise for our contribution to your wedding day. Would you like to hear special points of attention? Maybe advice? During the Zoom session or the physical conversation with you, I or one of the other Belgian String Quartet members will tell you all about it. This will be done online in a video call.

Rates
We apply – depending on the size of the ensemble – and location a starting rate that offers up to three hours of attendance from € 2.300,00, incl. 9% VAT for weddings and private parties. Corporate fees start at € 2.230,00 excl. VAT. Of course, you can also book us for longer then three hours. If you book us for less than three hours, we still charge the starting rate.
Why do we hold on to three hours as a starting rate? That often includes the entrance of the guests, -the prelude-, the processional, and wedding ceremony and then background music during the reception, cocktail hour. Of course, another scenario is possible; I’d love to hear about it :-).
